Golden moment

A triumphant trio of Earls Gymnastics Club juniors are jumping for joy after taking gold at the West Midland Regional Finals.

Dominick Cunningham, Harry Caulwell and Joe Gillick continued the tradition of the club producing young elite talent at the prestigious competition, which was held in Stoke.

Each of the boys took gold at elite level in their respective age categories with Cunningham claiming the U13s title, Caulwell the U10s and Gillick the out of age prize.

The starlets had to produce routines including set disciplines on pommel, vault, rings, high bar, parallel bars and floor.

The success of Cunningham and Caulwell means they are the only boys to represent the West Midlands in their respective age categories at the National Finals at Newcastle in May Coaches Michelle Bradley and Ryan Bradley said: "We are pleased and proud of what the boys have achieved but also know a lot of hard work is in front of them to do well at the national finals."
